The Undergraduate Research Program allows honors students to be paired with participating faculty members and their research projects. The Program began with 10 sophomores who were paired with faculty from the departments of linguistics, social work, psychology, education, biology, and the National Science Foundation-funded Visual Language and Visual Learning (VL2) project. Students wrestled with difficult issues, like inventing ASL pseudosigns and creating DNA agarose gels, and achieving outcomes that will be incorporated into a published research document.
