Oregon and Washington
We continued our travels down the Pacific coast, first stopping in Seattle to pick up some friends from Gallaudet, Jeannie Brown and Stacey DeLaune. We went sightseeing in Seattle, which was a very familar experience for me as my mom's twin sister lives in Seattle, and I have gone to Seattle many times growing up, but it was Laurie's first time in the city, and we had a good time. After we went to Seattle, we drove down to Hood River, first stopping to hike a little at Mt. St. Helens which is an active volcano on the border between Washington and Oregon. After that, we went down to Hood River, where my aunt has another house. It was the day after we arrived in Hood River that we went whitewater rafting and I ended up breaking my poor leg :( Anyway, here are some pictures of Hood River, St. Helens, Seattle, and so forth for your viewing pleasure.
