Yes, it’s free! Complete your first year at Gallaudet with good grades, and then head out with your peers and faculty on a one-week amazing global trek to another country during summer 2009.
Venture out and learn about cultures, languages, foods, history, art, and ways of life different from your own. Increase your own understanding for bridge building while feeding off your appetite for adventure and wanderlust.
Studies show that study abroad students are adventurous and high achieving, and are more likely to finish college. Increasingly, employers are placing more value on resumes with study abroad experiences.
We’ll get you started on your globetrotting career with a hook – a free one-week trip! Get in to Gallaudet, and then get out there with your peers to explore the world.
All students entering the Fall ’08 and Spring ’09 semesters will be eligible for the program.
Criteria for eligibility:
- A 2.75 cumulative GPA and in good standing with Student Affairs and Judicial Affairs.
- A cumulative GPA between 2.5 and 2.75 may be accepted with:
- A.) a letter or email from the student expressing why they should be considered
- B.) an essay from the student on an assigned topic
- C.) a recommendation from a faculty member
- Completion of GSR 150. Special consideration will be given for students coming for the Spring ‘09 semester.
- Enrolled for the Fall ’09 semester.

Expenses that will be your responsibility:
