Business Registration
Business Registration takes place during Orientation for new students and the first week of the semester for readmitted and returning students. Have all of the following business completed or information ready before going to Business Registration:

Register for classes. All new students should have registered for classes during Orientation. Readmitted students should register at the Registrar's Office, Chapel Hall 101.
Bring your Gallaudet ID card. (If you didn't get your card, obtain one from the Public Safety Office, Carlin Hall Basement)
Bring proof of current health insurance policy and waiver if declining Gallaudet's health insurance coverage and if documents have not been mailed.

You are responsible for the balance of your student account. If you cannot immediately pay the costs of the new semester, you may sign a promissory note at the end of registration. This is a promise that you will make monthly payments to the University during the semester to take care of the semester charges. The promissory note will contain amounts you may receive from Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) or other financial aid sources. Once the aid is received and posted to your account, the promissory note will be reduced by that amount.

If you receive any VR assistance or financial aid, you will see credit adjustments posted to your account after the registration process is completed. Gallaudet must confirm that you are officially registered before processing any VR and financial aid documents. You may check your account balance throughout the semester on BISON. Please direct all billing questions to the Student Accounts Office.

Financial Aid
Information about financial aid, including a packet and an application, has already been mailed to you. If you have not received your packet, please contact the Office of Admissions. For more information about Financial Aid, go to http://www.gallaudet.edu/financialaid.xml .
